LEGO 2K Goooal! is likely to be the next sports game from 2K, with the name popping up on a ratings board website in Korea.
May saw the release of LEGO 2K Drive, the first in what has long been rumoured to be a series of sports game tie-ups between LEGO and 2K Games.
The next title in that series could well be the gloriously-named LEGO 2K Goooal!. As first noticed by Gematsu, the game has popped up on a Korean age ratings board site – you can see the original posting here.
VGC first brought word of a LEGO-based football (or soccer) game in February 2022, with its report suggesting that development would be handled by Sumo Digital (the team behind Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Snake Pass). Initially, it was said that the game would be timed to coincide with the FIFA World Cup, but nothing materialised.
VGC has also reported that there’s set to be a third LEGO-2K tie-up – feel free to speculate on which sport it’ll be based on. Curling, perhaps?
LEGO 2K Goooal! has yet to be formally announced, though its Korean appearance suggests that a proper reveal is likely to be imminent.
